Can I include the payment amount?

Yes. The amount field is optional. If you leave it empty, the QR stores only the address.

What if the coin I need is not in the list?

Use the custom option and enter the scheme name manually. Then test the result in the exact wallet app your audience will use.

Why not just print the wallet address as text?

You can, but it is slower and more error prone. A QR code reduces copy mistakes, especially on mobile devices.
